Relation between Architecture and Urban Planning

Architecture and urban planning are two complementary sciences and similar applications. Both have as lens created comfortable spaces for the society and organize the spaces to improve the quality of life in the cities. Even so urban planning has a plural character and the architecture a singular character. The urbanism designs the squares and access to the buildings whereas the architecture takes charge designing the interior part of the building.
Although both communicate a form of life and a culture, the architecture answers to the individual tastes, satisfies caprices, creates the intimate space for the persons and the urbanism creates public spaces, satisfies a commuurban-planning-2.jpgnity needs and produce a level of organization.
The work of an architect must be complemented for an urban planner.
On the other hand, in Caracas the architectural work has come undone of the urban development work. There are business premises in residential zones and industries near offices, example of the wrong existing organization among the rules of municipality, the urban planners, the citizens and the architects
